Adapters(mud rings)

Use appropriate adapters so the set back is no more than 1/4" of the finish surface

If the installation ends up deeper than allowed 1/4" set back use grounding tail and "switch box extenders" http://www.aifittings.com/catalog/miscellaneous/box-extenders/
